Robin finally defeated Alzheimers disease, being welcomed into the arms of Jesus. Born and schooled in Victoria, Robin moved to Port Alberni, BC to teach music for 32 years. There she met and married her husband Jory 38 years ago.
Their daughters Tara Morgan (husband Paul, children Avelynn, Bailey, Colton and Charlotte) and Jenna Maxwell (husband Colin, children Connor, Austin and Harrison) loved their Mom deeply. Robin was the top soprano in Western Canada while at UVic and traveled through the U.S. and Canada on a gospel team. She left a legacy of musical excellence in Port Alberni. But more importantly she left a legacy of loving people and her Lord Jesus. Her gifts of hospitality, generosity of heart, care for the hurting and lonely, and her love of family shone brightly.
Her beautiful spirit was enjoyed by all at Yaletown House in Vancouver, especially the dedicated and loving staff who cared for her over the last 4 years.
Celebrations of Life for Robin will be held in Vancouver at Culloden Mennonite Church on June 25th at 7 p.m. and in Port Alberni at Jericho Road Church on July 3rd at 3:30 p.m.
