Roelof Kamma

December 3, 2016

March 25, 1936 – December 3, 2016

It is with great sadness our father, Roelof Kamma passed away on December 3, 2016. Predeceased by his one and only love, Anna in 2000. He left behind his three kids Pieter (Deborah), Guiseppe (Patti) and Rosanna (Chris) and his grandchildren Christopher, Caitlan, Nic, Emily, Abbie, Holly, Melissa and Jordan. Siblings, Rudolf, Sietske and Nellie in Friesland, Holland and numerous nieces and nephews . ‘Ralph’ emigrated to Canada in 1956 along with his bride, Anna to seek a better life. Their life together was one of many adventures: manning the lighthouse in Cape Beale, skiing, hiking (also Kamma Ridge named - near Mt. Arrowsmith), sailing, camping and raising their family. Ralph was involved with the Outdoor club for many years, played the trumpet in the ‘Rubber Band’, and spread his generosity by sponsoring kids for 39 years with World Vision, Red Cross and Bread of Life. Over the years his career evolved from one endeavour to another, and retiring from his partnership at Kamma and Blake Marine Industries in 2000. We will always cherish the incredible memories of fun and adventures during our childhood, his wealth of knowledge, talents and sense of humour. May he rest in peace. Together again, they walk into the sunset.
