Ron will be sadly missed by family members, extended family and dear friends.
Ron was one of the 9 children of Catherine M. and Alfred G. Pearce. All of Ron's working life from a very early age was in Port Alberni, mainly in the surrounding wilderness which he loved. His children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren have all loved his telling of stories from his life, especially ones from "in the woods".
Ron worked mainly at Sproat Lake Div. and Franklin River Div. as a grade foreman. He loved fishing, golf, and hunting.
Ron was predeceased by his first wife Ardis (1983). He is survived by his present wife of 35 years, Wendy, his children Barbara (Rich), Robert (Laura), step children Marie and Blythe, grandchildren Chris, Catherine, Trista, Caleb, Cassie, Mallory and Lynden, great grandchildren Chase and Ivana.
At Ron's request, there will not be a service, but family will continue to celebrate his life as often as possible.
