It is with many tears and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ron Sherwood at Royal Jubilee Hospital on February 23, 2016 with his family by his side.
Ron was predeceased by his father, Ervin Sherwood on Feb. 16, 1994. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy; his mother Ethel Sherwood, his children Tim (Heather), Brenda (Dan), Tammy (Dave), and Troy. He is also survived by his brother Gary (Bev) and sister Sharon (Bill) and their families. All his grandchildren and great-grandchildren will forever miss their Papa! Ron worked at many jobs during his life, but his favourites were owning his own gravel truck and his own businesses Sherwood Body Works, Sherwood Springs and the Alberni Regional Landfill. Ron had many loves in his life, first was gardening, woodworking, camping, travelling and country music. Nothing made him happier than sitting at the river around the campfire playing guitars. He loved and cherished sharing time with his family and close friends. Celebration of Life will be held on March 6, 2016 at A. V. Rescue Hall 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Ron’s memory to Ty Watson House.
