June 3, 1936 - May 24, 2019
It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of our Dad, Ron West, at the age of 82. He is survived by his 3 children, John (Wendy), Alyson (Les), Mike (Colleen); four grandchildren, Kylee, Josh, Stephanie, Katie, his beloved sister Golda Cox and special family friend Nicci Auterhoff.
Dad spent his working years outdoors as a logger and a machine operator building logging roads. He was a crusty old soul with a soft heart and was often known to offer someone who was struggling a hand up. In his later years he spent his days working in his garden or canning his produce to share with family and friends. Many will remember his generosity with his amazing tomatoes and yummy salsa.
We would like to thank the staff at Fir Park Village for making Dad feel at home and the excellent care given to him during his time there. We would also like to express our gratitude to Dan McCormack for being such a true friend to Dad until the end.
There will be no service at Dad's request. Cremation has taken place.
