Rosalia Mussato: "Nona" passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the age of 90 years.
Predeceased by husband Roberto in 1988, Rosalia is survived by her children, Giovanni (Julie), and Ornella; beloved grandchildren Lucas, Devan and Reana (Eric); Zia Lala's special nieces Mary Ann, Barbara, Joanne, Donna and Carla as well as extended family in both Canada and Italy.
Born in Selva del Montello, Italy, in 1927, Rosalia emigrated to Canada with her husband and young children in 1961. Devoted to her family, she leaves a legacy of hard work and love. Rosalia found joy in the simple things of life and will be remembered for her good nature, cheery smile and readiness to laugh.
A viewing will take place 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the Chapel of Memories, 4005 - 6th Ave, Port Alberni for anyone wishing to say their last good-bye.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 24, 2017 at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 4731 Burke Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rosalia's name to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Children's Hospital or a Charity of your choice.
