In Loving Memory ~ Ruby, age 88, passed away peacefully April 17, 2019 with her daughter Debbie and granddaughter Amy at her side. She was born August 14, 1930 in Climax, Saskatchewan to Joe and Sophia Bird (Jack). The youngest of four, she cherished her siblings Chester, Irene and Joe.
Ruby, beloved wife of the late Adam Babuik. Much loved mother of Ulrich (Alleson), Lloyd (Jutta), Leslie, Rosanne (Kevin), Ronald (Celine), Wayne, Debbie, Donna (Tom), and # 9 adopted John Martin. Cherished grandmother of Neil (Noelle), Nikole, Michael, Tiffany (Eldon), Adam (Katie), Amy (Kyle), Kaleigh and Clinton. Great grandmother of Riley, Selah and Noah.
Also survived by her sister-in-law, Anne Babuik (family), Rose Matychuk (family), nieces Phyllis Neff (family), Barbara Dunsmoor (family), many nieces, nephews and friends.
Ruby's life was full of people and adventure. No matter the circumstances she gave something of herself to everyone she met. She saw the good in everyone. Catering to people all her life, work was an adventure not a chore.
She loved music, dancing, floor curling, family gatherings, card games, bingo, casinos, travelling (car rides), church and afternoon teas.
Now she has joined Dad once again. Always in our hearts. We pass her on to him through the gates of Heaven to forever rest in his Kingdom.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
