It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Ann Vallee (nee Rodinsky) announces her sudden passing on August 1st, 2016, at the age of 58 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Richard Gary Vallee, her mother Bernadette Rodinsky and father John Rodinsky. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Danielle (Rob) van Schaik and grandchildren James and Benjamin. Brother Denis (Darlene) Rodinsky and nephews Tanner and Jordan. Son Eugene (Rebecca) Vallee. Brother Terry (Laurie) Rodinsky and nieces. Sister Darlene (Charlie) Graves and niece and nephews. Mom was born and resided in Port Alberni her entire life. She married her soul mate Rick, and they were happily married for 37 years until his passing in 2010. As a wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend to many, she excelled at providing loving care to all, with an attentive nature, always aware of the smallest details. She was a longtime and active member of the Salvation Army. Mom worked for many years at the Salvation Army Thrift Store and would greet the customers, truly her friends, with genuine warmth. As such an amazing person, there is no doubt the sadness of her passing is shared among the many who were blessed to be touched by her life. There will be a Celebration of Life Service on August 13th at 2pm at the Salvation Army Church, 4841 Redford St., with Lt. Michelle Cale and Cpt. Crystal Wilkinson officiating.
