Thomas (Tom) Turner passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at the age of 91 years.
Tom is predeceased by wife Marie and eldest son Alan. He is survived by his brother Jim, his son Don (Linda) and two grandsons Doug and Tim (Antigoni).
Tom was born and raised in Port Alberni and lived his whole life in the valley. After a short stint in the army he and his brother Jim formed Turner Contracting Alberni Limited which built commercial industrial and institutional buildings on Vancouver Island.
Tom enjoyed hunting fishing and was an avid traveler.
According to Tom’s wishes no funeral service will be held and a private family gathering has taken place.
