Viola passed away peacefully at WCGH. She is survived by her son Gord (Shelly), daughter Karen (Dave), son-inlaw Ken, her grandchildren Darren (Kelsea), Shane (Bob), Jonathan (Megan), Brandi (Mark), Donovan, Sheena and great-grandchildren Addison, Reese, and Beau. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond and her daughter Connie, Sisters Mary, Dorothy & Faye, Brothers Garnet & Robert.
Viola was born in Saskatchewan and grew up in Alberta, before she moved to Port Alberni where she met Raymond. They were married in 1957 and lived out Beaver Creek where
they raised their children. She loved to camp, travel, and play cards with friends and family. She spent the past four years living in Echo Village where she enjoyed playing bingo, shuffleboard and many other activities. The family extends their thanks to the nurses and staff at Echo Village and WCGH for their care of Mom. A celebration of life will be held on April 23, 2016 from 12-3pm at Beaver Creek Community Hall (8505 Beaver Creek Road). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice or to Ty Watson House in memory of Connie.
