Bill, or Billy, as you prefer, was predeceased by his father William Maxwell Goodyear in 1987. He is survived by his mother, his buddy, his pal, his friend, Betty Goodyear Levins; stepfather Milt Levins, brother Travis Goodyear and Colby McMeekin, sister Dana Few and Todd Janey; stepsisters Serena and Kevin Clarke, Trish Levins and Derek Ferguson, nieces and nephews Tyler and Tyrone Nicole, Nicholas, Logan, Hannah, Emily and Ava and great nephew Emre and to all of his aunts, uncles and cousins thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Billy passed away peacefully at Ty Watson House with his family at his side on December 6, 2015.
If you have ever had the pleasure to meet this special man, you know he had a contagious personality. Billy was always a Newfoundlander and loved the jokes. He was an amazing brother to Travis and Dana, as he was to his stepsisters Serena and Trisha; and always so adoring and caring to all of his nephews and nieces. He was a huge fan of the Canucks, Blue Jays and loved his Pink Floyd music.
We would like to thank the nursing staffs for all their caring and also to Dr. Alan Fraser for his being there every day; and of course Ty Watson House….incredible what you do every day. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations should be made to Ty Watson House in Bill’s memory.
The family will hold a private family service on Dec. 15, 2015.
A celebration of Billy’s life is planned from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Hansen Hall, 3940 Johnston Rd, Port Alberni BC. We would love to see you there.
