passed away peacefully on May 29, 2016 at Ty Watson House after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 85 years old.
Gordon is survived by Ruth, his wife of 62 years. He also leaves seven of his eight children and twelve grandchildren: Bill (Bev) Brandon, Brocklyn; Rick (Sheila) Chantelle, Shane; Harold (Linda); Dorothy (Rick) John, Andy; Kim (Keith) - both deceased, Megan, Amanda; Leanna; Ray (Christina) Kyle, Samantha, Ashley, Athena; Jean. Gordon is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
Gordon’s hobbies were hunting and fishing and he was a member of the Rod & Gun Club and Royal Canadian Legion. A memorial service has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ty Watson House c/o 3088 3rd Avenue, Port Alberni, BC,V9Y 2A5.
