Sadly on Sunday, January 6, 2019, Mrs. Wilma Landry passed away in Port Alberni at the age of 84.
Wilma is predeceased by her husband, Maurice, son Albert and 14 siblings. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Diane, Arlene (Mac), Karen (Colin), grandchildren Nicole (Kyle), Matthew, Julianne, great grandchildren, Michael and Amy, sister Rosie, as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Mom was raised in Osoyoos BC and moved to Port Alberni as a young woman. Mom and Dad married in 1956 and raised their four children in the Alberni Valley. Mom's great joy was raising her children and filling her home with love. Mom took great pride in her home-making and gardening talents and was welcoming and gracious to all her guests. Mom loved to entertain and engage in conversation and laughter with family and friends. Mom volunteered countless hours with the Echo Sunshine Club and enjoyed the many teas, dances and special events.
Mom touched many lives and left a lasting impression. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother sister and friend.
She will be sadly missed by her family but will forever be in our hearts.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 15th at 10 am at the Notre Dame Parish, 4731 Burke Road, Port Alberni BC.
Interment will follow at the Alberni Valley Memorial Gardens.
