With great sadness, we announce the passing of Yvette Cowley on Monday, October 9, 2017 at the age of 93.
Predeceased by husband Bob, daughter Dianna and grandson Rob, and all 8 of her brothers and sisters.
Survived by grandchildren: Dan (Brittany), and Melanie (Greg), and Coralee; great grandchildren : Brittany (Wade), Justin, Braden, Thomas, Michael (Se'), Kaliesha, (Matt), and Sydney, great great grandchildren: Hailen and Rowan; sisters-in-law Kay Green and Jeannette Frechette, Dianna's partner, Gerry, as well as many extended family, relatives and friends.
Born in Debden Sask, Yvette moved to Port Alberni after she married the love of her life, Bob, who was a pioneer of the Alberni Valley and they had 58 yrs of marriage before his passing in the year 2000. Yvette devoted her life to family, friends and her church.
She was kind, considerate and so loving to everyone. Her loving care and gentleness will live on in everyone's heart.
Funeral Mass to take place at 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 4731 Burke Rd, Port Alberni, BC.
