To the Editor,
The assault on our city green spaces continues at city hall.
Why various city councils favour the destruction of public areas for sports and recreation in favour of totally inappropriate concrete structures is beyond me.
First there was the unnecessary, costly new high school. Now council has approved a project which will encroach on the existing parking lot off Beaver Creek Road and much of Sterling Field.
The location is totally inappropriate.
It doesn’t seem to matter who is on city council, the lack of proper planning and concern for the public interest continues.
