Re: Fir Park warmer and brighter after year-long makeover, Alberni Valley News, Oct. 10.
The Alberni Valley News reported that Legion Branch 293 donated $92,000 towards the costs of Fir Park renovation. That is incorrect.
The money was part of the proceeds of the sale of the building on Fourth Avenue occupied by Legion Branch No. 55 Building Society. Both of these organizations are now defunct.
