To the Editor,

On behalf of Timbre! Choir and so many in our community, we are saddened to hear of the recent passing of one of our most beloved musicians, Patricia Miller.

The young people who took piano lessons from “Mrs. Miller”, those who sang in her teen and jazz choirs, adults who have sung in Timbre! through the years, along with the thousands of members of our community who attended concerts performed under Pat’s direction, will be experiencing a sense of loss at the news of Pat’s passing. We all share a profound sense of gratitude for all the years of dedication, passion and love through which Pat gave us the gift of music. She had a special ability to bring out the best in her students and to engender in us a deeper appreciation for music in our lives. It has been an amazing musical journey. We say thank you for the music, Pat.

Frances Ketteringham,

president,

Timbre! Choir
