Re: "Lathom Road 'is not a highway,' say Port Alberni residents."
I am responding to the article regarding excessive traffic on Lathom Road. I live on Lathom and have seen quite an increase in traffic. Some turn onto Lathom from Ian Avenue and punch the pedal and roar down the road. The same thing happens coming up the road.
Last year, a truck flipped very near my house and hit a tree. Luckily no one was standing there.
Of course, not everyone is an offender, but there are enough of them to cause concern and be annoying for us who live here. A solution to help remedy this situation would be much appreciated by all of us on Lathom Road.
