To the Editor,
On the subject of zero carbon emissions, it is my opinion that it is not a possibility.
Having let the genie out of the bottle and discovered the many applications for fossil fuels, it is impossible to put it back. Everything we touch today has originated from fossil fuels in some form or another.
What we can do is use the vast knowledge of technology to exponentially clean up emissions to close to zero. I realize income from wind turbines, solar panels, EVs and their respective parts increases the portfolios of many, but the cost to the consumer, health issues and the unsightly land and seascapes are a problem.
As for the parts, their initial acquisition is often invasive and life-threatening, and their destruction definitely questionable.
