Lotto: Ontario has more BC has less

Math and not a conspiracy is the reason there are more lotto winners in Ontario, one reader says.

To the Editor,

Re: BC gets lotto shaft again, Letters, July 26.

No need for an audit.  Just a waste of time.

The answer to why there are so many winners in Ontario and Quebec is that Ontario has a population of 13,445,408 people and Quebec has  a population of 8,013,073 compared to B.C. with a population of 4,597,919 people.

More ticket sales equals many more lotto numbers.
