To the Editor,
During the recent holidays, I listened to lots of words spoken in the media: popular pundits rehashing the past; prognosticators predicting the future and pontificating politicians puffing up their parliamentary performances.
However, the only words I can accurately recall were spoken by a three-year old.
While in bed one morning, and on the verge of opening my eyes, I heard a sweet, tentative voice ask, “Are you awake, Grandpa?”
To borrow an expression from Star Wars, “May the family force be with you!”
