The Alberni Golf Club is hosting the 2011 BC Women’s Amateur, June 28 to July 1.
Not only is this the premier women’s event in the province but it is highlighted by a stong contingent of three elite Port Alberni players:
— Alyssa Herkel, selected to play in the 2011 World University Games in China.
— Jackie Little, 2011 BC Senior Women’s Amateur champion, five-time BC Women’s Am Champion.
— Christina Proteau, two-time B.C. Women's Amateur champion, who will play in the 2011 US Women's Open July 7-10 in Colorado Springs.
