On Sunday, Aug. 19, the MaC 5 Challenge is being held. This event is the most popular of the season, and is sponsored by Bruce and Kathy MacDonald of Mac 5 Golf.

There are three different games in the one 18-hole round. Holes 1-6 is alternate shot,  both tee off, then you hit your partners ball, from there pick one and alternate shots until you hole out (gross score only).

Holes 7-12, both play your own ball and use the best net on each hole (net score only). Holes 13-18, is a scramble, minimum of two drives each (gross score only).

Remember this will be two man teams, but each team must have a combined handi-cap of 20 or higher. When all is said and done you subtract one third of the combined handicap from your score.

Please sign up in the pro shop with your partner or as a single and Bruce will find you a partner. There will also be pari-mutuel betting. The shotgun is at 8 a.m. with the usual $10 fee applying.
