Alberni ladies golf

Ladies business wind-up golf event on the horizon in Alberni.

The nine and 18 Hole ladies gathered Tues for a great mixer best ball format.

Honors were given to the team of Yvette Pederson, Ilona McLeod, and Shannon Haggard with a low gross of 81.

Second Place with a low gross of 82 went to the team of Helen Weaver, Pat Nicklin, Pasty Gauthier and Olga Kannigan. Low putts for the day went to Doreen Grant, Nellie Korvin and Gayle Rhodes and runner up went to the team of Marta Williamson, B.J. Harper, Kathy White and Claudia Romaniuk, way to go ladies.

Due to the mixer format the challenge pin will be played off next Tuesday, between Sharon Haggard and Leona Fowler, good luck ladies.

The pro lady tournament was played at Fairwinds and bragging rights went to the Brian Rand team along with Carol Bouchard, Gayle Rhodes and Janice Cross. A close second went to Bruce MacDonald and his team, Patsy Gauthier, Carol Hastings and Sandra Simpson, I think the challenge is in place already for next year.

Just a reminder…….. the Business Ladies wind-up this Sunday Sept. 25, and register for the iron lady on Oct. 15. Contact the Pro Shop at Alberni Golf Club at 250-723-5422 for more information.
