Alberni Valley Bulldogs defenceman shatters the glass during game against Chilliwack Chiefs

Bulldogs defenceman Connor Welsh is sending players through the glass in the BCHL.

Late in the third period during an away game against the Chilliwack Chiefs on Saturday, Dec. 9, Welsh delivered a massive hip check against Chiefs forward Kaden Pickering and shattered the glass near the Bulldogs bench.

Pickering appeared to be fine following the play, although a delay was called for to clear the glass from the ice.

The Bulldogs went on to win the game, 4-1.
