Former Alberni Valley Bulldog forward David Dziurzynski can add the Calder Cup to his list of hockey accomplishments.
Dziurzynski is a rookie with the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League, which beat the Houston Aeros 3-2 to win the Calder Cup, awarded for the AHL championship.
“David’s journey is a remarkable story,” Bulldog head coach and GM Paul Esdale says.
“He came from Lloydminster to play out his junior career in Alberni...we are so proud of him and wish him the best in his quest to play in the NHL.”
Dziurzynski was drafted by the Ottawa Senators last year.
