Joyce and Fred Luecke came home from the BC provincial carpet bowling championships in Telkwa, BC with gold medals in the pairs event.
This is the third pairs gold for the Lueckes, who have been bowling for a combined 37 years (Joyce for 22 years, Fred for 15). They have also won gold and silver in past fours competitions too, Joyce said.
The Lueckes hone their skills with the Sunshine Club at Echo Centre, which has drop-in bowling every Tuesday and Thursday at 1 p.m. Newcomers welcome.
