We had a good turnout for the Alberni Ladies Golf Club on a beautiful day last Tuesday.

In the low handicap 9-hole ladies, low gross had a tie between La Donna Knutson and Claudia Romaniuk.  Lee Anne Van Lent won low net.  The low putts of the day was a three-way tie between Marta Williamson, Katy Lekich and Doreen Grant.

In the high handicap group Tineke Rogers won low gross, Lois Robinson won low net and the low putts went to Betty Adair.

Pars were had by Williamson, Mel Mehachuk, Romaniuk, Rogers, Julie Swaney, Katy Lekich and Kathy Toms.

For the 18-hole ladies, Kathy White had the low gross with 92 and also won the Monthly Medal. Low net was a tie between Patsy Gauthier and Barb Sheare. In our ball sweep we played the “F” game, for each fairway you hit on your drive you received 10 points, at the end of the game we added the points and subtracted our putts and Gwyn Bowen was the big winner with an impressive 119 points.

Gayle Rhodes won the special prize.

We will keep are shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. through June.  Next week will be the qualifying for the Club Team Championship which will be held at Sunnydale Golf Club.
