Ladies hoops league nears post season in Alberni

A Dave Ralla's Ballerz player scores two points in the team's win over Mace Electric on Monday afternoon.

This week in ladies hoops Lace It Up took on Canadian Tire and Mace Electric took on Dave Ralla.

The short benched Lace It Up fought hard, but didn’t have enough power to beat the large Canadian Tire Retreads, who took the game 34-21.

Toni Schutte had 18 points for Canadian Tire.

The second game of the night was closer, but Dave Ralla`s Ballerz continued their winning streak, beating Mace Electric Shockers 46-35.

Every player on the Ballerz contributed a basket, with Diane Haley leading the team with 15 points.

With one week left in regular league play, Mace Electric, Dave Ralla, and Canadian Tire are in a three way tie for first place. Come out next Monday at 5:30 p.m. to see who will be regular season champ.
