Ladies hoops league tips off in Alberni

The season has tipped off for the Port Alberni Ladies Basketball League.

The season has tipped off for the Port Alberni Ladies Basketball League.

Four teams are competing in the league and they’ve played two games.

In the first game, the Dave Ralla’s Blue Thunder beat Mace Electric’s Red Phoenixes 77 – 52.  Leah Hudson lead the Thunder with 26 points.  Taylor Paquette had 29 points for the Phoenixes.

In the second game, Dave Ralla’s Yellow Lightning beat Mace Electric’s Green Shockers 57- 38.  Carly Haggard had 24 points for the Lightning.
