It was the 18 hole ladies last day of organized golf at the Alberni Golf Club.

It was the 18 hole ladies last day of organized golf at the Alberni Golf Club.

The nine hole ladies finished last week.

In amongst the rain showers we managed to have a good day of golf.

Janice Cross won the Monthly Medal Playoff by retrogression over Kathy White.

Janice Cross won low gross shooting an 84, Kathy White won low net with a 72.

In the ball sweep, Cross won KP on no. 11 and White won on no. 17.

Cross had a very lucky day also winning the special prize. White had a birdie on no. 4 and Gwyn Bowen had a chip in on no. 16.

Tuesday Oct.11 will be the nine and eighteen hole ladies closing luncheon at noon.

When you’re tempted to give up, you need to find the strength within yourself to stay the course.

That’s when you will have to keep your dream at the front of your mind.

That’s when you’ll have to arm yourself with reasons to continue practicing.
