Logger Sports returns to Alberni District Fall Fair for 41st year

Port Alberni's own Kenji Boyko won Top Novice of the day

The stands were filled with onlookers on the final day of the Alberni District Fall Fair as competitors took the stage for the annual Logger Sports competition in Port Alberni.

On Sunday, Sept. 8, men, women and novices competed in log chopping, bucking and birling. The Top Male Logger of the day went to Stirling Hart from Squamish, while the Top Female Logger went to Allison Briscoe of Port McNeill. The Top Novice award went to Port Alberni's own Kenji Boyko.
