Port Alberni golfer wins men’s amateur tournament

Spencer Rhodes beat fellow Port Alberni competitor by one shot at the Men's West Coast Amateur Tournament.

A Port Alberni golfer took home first place at The Men’s West Coast Amateur Tournament held at the Alberni Golf Club on Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19.

Spencer Rhodes was the tournament’s winner shooting 68 on Saturday and 71 on Sunday for a total of 139. Rhodes beat fellow Port Alberni competitor, Greg Palmer, by one shot.

The ladies West Coast Amateur Tournament is taking place Sunday, June 26 at the Alberni Golf Club.
