Alberni Valley soccer teams will wrap up their league this Saturday, April 16 for the annual Soccer Day celebration.
The fields at ADSS, Echo Minor and Echo Major will be buzzing with activity from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Alberni Valley Minor Soccer spokesperson Linda Rhodes said.
All teams will be playing two games on Saturday.
Soccer Day is a prelude to how busy Port Alberni pitches will be April 30–May 1, when the Mini World Cup comes to town. More than 50 teams from all over the Island featuring players aged seven to 10 years will compete.
