Welcome to another season of Men’s Sunday morning golf.
First of all, I’d like to introduce you to this year's committee. Peter Mugleston, Scott Staley, Ted Stewart, Mike Savard, Murry Hawkeness and me, Gerry Fagan, with Doug Richmond looking after the deuce pot again this year.
The committee has made a few changes for the upcoming season. It will be the responsibility of all players to ensure their first initial as well as their last name are printed neatly on the score card. The cost to join the Men’s Club this year will be $20. Each event you play in will be $15, unless otherwise posted. There will also be gross skins every week.
The first event of 2025 is scheduled for Sunday, March 23. It will be a four-man computer picked scramble, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The cost for this event will be $15 and all par 3’s as well as the charity closest to the pin on hole No. 7 will be in play.
The sponsor for this event will be the King Edward Liquor Store.
Please sign up in the Alberni Golf Club Pro Shop as a single with your handicap from last year. Try to pay a day or two in advance, it will save waiting in line on Sunday.
