Weather doesn’t deter Alberni Ladies’ Club

The Ladies Golf Club kicked off with a showery, cooler day April 5 on the Alberni Golf Course, with a few diehard women out to play.

In the nine-hole low handicap division Mel Mihaychuck won the low gross, Marta Williamson had low net and La Donna Knutson had the fewest putts of the day.

In the high handicap division Lorraine Wilson won low gross as well as the fewest putts, Lauretta Howard-Dyer won low net.

Pars were had by Kathy Toms, Kelly Gauthier and Marta Williamson all on No. 13. I think we are all happy to have the tees moved up on this hole.

Mel Mihaychuk had a par on No. 17.

Very few ladies came out to play in the 18-hole division,  Leona Fowler won low gross with a 97 and by the skin of my teeth I won low net.

Just a reminder the ladies Amateur/ Senior is coming up fast, May 27 at Eaglecrest, if you are interested please let me know and we can make up a team for net.
