Family Day fun in the Alberni Valley

Port Alberni’s Parks, Recreation and Heritage department hosted a plethora of free activities

Port Alberni’s Parks, Recreation and Heritage department hosted a plethora of free activities for Family Day on Monday, Feb. 12.

Family rollerblading took place at the Glenwood Centre, with free admission and rentals.

The Alberni Valley Museum held a ‘Museum Discovery’ event with fun family activities, a scavenger hunt and arts and crafts.

The Alberni Aquarium and Stewardship Centre at Harbour Quay was also open with half price admission. Their Family Day activities featured a special Lego competition.

Other activities took place throughout the day, including a family skate on ice at the AV Multiplex and a family swim at Echo Pool.
