Every seat's a winner at Port Alberni's Capitol Theatre next week. Staff members have removed all the original seats from the theatre on Argyle Street in anticipation of a renovation.

The Wednesday Painters, a group of 20 local artists, will have a sample of their works on display at the Rollin Art Centre Gallery from Saturday, June 25 to Tuesday, July 19. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Join the artists at the Rollin Art Centre Gallery on Wednesday, June 29 from 7–9 p.m. and enjoy “Small is Beautiful”.

After nine years as the arts administrator at Rollin Art Centre in Port Alberni, Gareth Flostrand is retiring.

A marimba concert is being held at the Coombs Country Market on Sunday, June 19 at 5:30 p.m.
