The Australian-Canadian folk-pop trio Belle Miners will make their return to Char’s Landing this Saturday, April 13.

The group is comprised of three multi-genre solo artists, instrumentalists and songwriters, living on two separate continents, who have such a cohesive love and admiration for music and each other that they are able to make the long distance work.

Belle Miners are known for their lush harmonies, genuine stories, witty stage banter and are festival favourites in Australia.

Their debut album Powerful Owl was produced by Juno winner Joby Baker and garnered critical acclaim upon its release in November 2017. They have released three new EPs since, one of which garnered awards from the Cygnet Folk Festival.

Following their pre-pandemic tour in 2020, bandmates Felicia Harding and Marina Avros of Victoria, B.C. and Jaime Jackett of Broome, Western Australia, had just made it to their respective homes before the pandemic travel restrictions took affect. Now, after years of anticipation, the Belle Miners have triumphantly completed their seventh Australian tour, marking a jubilant reunion on their 10th anniversary. They’ve extended their tour to include two Vancouver Island shows: Victoria and Port Alberni.

The Port Alberni show will take place at Char’s Landing on Saturday, April 13. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and music starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at belleminers.bpt.me or call or text Char at 250-730-1636.
