Author Lee Maracle reads at NIC March 27

Sto:lo First Nations member Lee Maracle will read from her works at North Island College in Port Alberni on Thursday, March 27.

Lee Maracle, author of Sojourners and Sundogs, Daughters are Forever, Will’s Garden and Ravensong, will read from her works at North Island College in Port Alberni on Thursday, March 27.

Maracle was born in North Vancouver and is a member of the Sto:lo First Nation. A mother of four and grandmother of seven, Maracle is currently an instructor at the University of Toronto.

First published in the 1970s, Maracle is considered one of the most prolific First Nations writers in Canada. She will appear in Room S108 at the NIC Port Alberni campus at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.
