Six arts organizations have received a total of $6,500 in Rotary Arts District grants for a variety of programs.
Arts Matters ($1,000), Art Rave Society ($1,500), the Community Arts Council ($1,500) and Portal Players Dramatic Society ($1,500) will put their grants toward a new event, the Solstice Festival, in June.
Main Artery received $600 for the ArtLink magazine, and Spirit Square Farmers’ Market received $400 for Music at the Market.
“We are very pleased to support all of the great work these various organizations do to contribute to the quality of life in the community, and specifically to the arts,” Rotary’s Theresa Kingston said.
