Guitar-strumming, banjo-plucking and sing-along-starting musical performer Richard Garvey will be returning to Char’s Landing in Port Alberni for his spring 2024 tour.

The performance on Thursday, March 21 will include songs from his upcoming album, “In the arms of lovers and friends.” Lyrically, the songs on this album explore themes of mental health, climate change and re-imagining what hope means in a divided world.

Garvey’s award-winning songs explore the highs and lows of love, injustice and the marbled mess of the human condition. Whether he’s playing to a living room or an amphitheatre, Garvey brings clever songs and a sly sense of humour to inspire solidarity, hope and change. His musicality weaves together driving guitar and clawhammer banjo with his rich and smooth tenor vocal styling.

When you’re looking for the latest incarnation of world-changing, foot-stomping, and heart-filling folk music, see Richard Garvey.

Garvey’s show at Char’s Landing will take place on Thursday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). Tickets are available at https://richardgarvey.bpt.me or call or text Char at 250-730-1636.
