The annual Port Alberni Spring Home Expo offers you that opportunity for free, with over 80 building, renovation and decor exhibitors gathering March 9-10 at the Glenwood Sports Centre.
“If you’re in the market or are just thinking about making changes in your home, it’s a great way to be able to do your comparison shopping,” says Darcy Hope, president of home show producer Evergreen Exhibitions. “It’s sort of like a mall for home improvements for the weekend.”

- Watch and learn In-booth demonstrations spotlighting everything from cleaners to food processors make it easier to understand how well certain items can work for you.
- Discover local products Like to support Alberni Valley businesses and manufacturers? Ask upon your arrival about local vendors at the show.
- Giveaway time The show features a number of door prizes, contests and promotions in the vendors booths, so enter early and often!
Make your list before you arrive
Whether you’re needing information on materials for that back sundeck project, inquiring about flooring options, are looking for kitchen and bathroom renovation ideas, or are in the market for a new hot tub, chances are you’ll find what you’re looking for at the Home Expo.
“If you’re looking to get your home ready for spring, it’s a great way to find out what you can do,” Darcy says. “It can be a big time saver for you, rather than having to call individual contractors and dealers.”
