Alberni chamber forced to postpone Nov. 25 fantasy auction

Soft ticket sales and staffing challenges have forced the Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce to cancel their annual auction this week.

The Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce has had to postpone its annual fantasy auction, originally slated for this Friday, Nov. 25 at the Alberni Athletic Hall.

“Primary reasons for the postponement are soft ticket sales and staffing challenges,” chamber executive director Mike Carter wrote in an e-mail sent to local media.

“The chamber is sorry for this inconvenience and we will definitely advise when we re-schedule the event in the New Year,” he noted.

All tickets sold to the event will be fully refunded, and the chamber will use sponsorships arranged for the auction when it is rescheduled in the new year.

For more information, please call the chamber at 250-724-6535.
