The first Our Town free family event takes place Tuesday, July 5 at Blair Park in Port Alberni. The event is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.
Farmyard Fun begins at 6:30 p.m. and runs until 8:30 p.m. The evening features a petting farm, ponies, hay rides, games and refreshments.
The event is free and organizers expect to attract several hundred children.
Blair Park is located on Margaret Street near the Kitksuksis Dike walkway.
