The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is advising motorists to expect winter driving conditions on all Vancouver Island highways.Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the east coast of Vancouver Island, and temperatures around the island will be at or below freezing for the next few days. Road conditions can change rapidly as temperatures drop.Motorists are asked to use caution when travelling, and ensure their vehicle is properly equipped for winter driving conditions. When on the road, please be alert to maintenance crews, who will be out prior to and during weather events, sanding and clearing snow. Know before you go, and check DriveBC for current conditions.
