The Sproat Lake Volunteer Fire Department is holding its annual open house on Saturday, July 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Meet the firefighters, watch demos and learn about fire safety.
At the beginning of June firefighters did a door-to-door campaign in the Sproat Lake area in an attempt to recruit new members and spread the word about fire safety in advance of fire season.
The open house will give people an idea of what the volunteer firefighting force does in and around Sproat Lake. It will take place at the Harold Bishop Fire Hall, 7667 Pacific Rim Highway.
