Tania Dick earns Kwantlen award

Vancouver Island is home to the two newest winners of the Kwantlen Polytechnic University Alumni Association Distinguished Alumni Awards.

Surrey, B.C. –  Vancouver Island is home to the two newest winners of the Kwantlen Polytechnic University Alumni Association (KPUAA) Distinguished Alumni Awards.

Port Alberni’s Tania Dick and Nanaimo’s Ken Puls were recognized during the university’s annual spring convocation in Surrey in May for enhancing the university’s reputation through their outstanding achievements in their careers, public and community service.

Dick graduated from KPU’s bachelor of nursing program in 2003. She is a nurse at Cormorant Island Health Centre and president-elect of the Association of Registered Nurses of B.C.

“Ken and Tania are ambassadors of the alumni association,” said KPUAA chairperson Harpreet Bains.
