UPDATE: Victoria PD arrest man wielding knife in Value Village

UPDATE 4/23 3:37 p.m.

The man arrested at the downtown Value Village on Monday night was wielding a knife towards an individual, according to VicPD.

He was taken into custody and held for court.

One man has been arrested for possessing a weapon after an incident in downtown Victoria on Monday afternoon.

Victoria Police arrested a man inside the Value Village in the 1800 block of Store Street after 5 p.m.

Earlier reports on social media made claims of shots fired in the area but according to VicPD, that did not occur.

No one was injured in the incident.

Value Village remained open during the unfolding situation.
