Valley sets high temperature record on Victoria Day

On May 22 Port Alberni temperatures hit a high of 30.3 degrees Celsius

Port Alberni set a weather record on Victoria Day with temperatures reaching a high of 30.3 degrees Celsius.

This was the highest recorded temperature for May 22 with Environment Canada data from 1995 to 2016. Last year on the same day temperatures only hit 17.9 degrees Celsius and 26.3 C in 2015.

Next weekend in the Valley temperatures are predicted to reach the mid to high 20s with sunny conditions for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
